Jamiel Said was born and raised in Singapore. He began his music career at the age of 15 and went on through his university days.

He knew his calling for music was too strong to be ignored, and with that, he was soon featured in Singapore's premiere TV music showcase called "Live and Loaded" in 2009 and performed his English original called Ballerina. With resounding response from the public's online vote, he was one of the few acts that was invited again to do an encore performance.

He has performed all over the world, including Melbourne, Langkawi, Philippines, Jakarta and many more. In March 2013, he did a solo Euro Tour for 5 weeks, where he was invited to perform for events in Helsinki and London.

His biggest gig was when he was given the opportunity to open for Gigi, a legendary rock Indonesian band in Jakarta and was also one of the main acts for the Singapore Music Festival at Fort Canning.
