Bobby

Bobby, being one of the most talented and respected artist, has proven to be the most
outstanding in the world of music, as a percussionist in South East Asia. He started his
music career from a very tender age.

Singapore born, Bobby Singh comes from a musical orientated family.
His journey begun at five, being part of the family band and thereafter became a
student of Pracheen Kala Kendra Music School in New Delhi, where he graduated in
Indian classical music. He specializes in the most sacred instrument called “TABLA”

Besides, playing Indian Classical and western music, he has stretched his versatility
right to Eastern Europe origin and now he plays any skin instrument that produces
sound. Being a sensitive musician, he’s devoted and passionate towards his music, his
discipline and dedication shows in expression the music he renders.

Bobby, plays a wide range of styles and cultured music such as Pop, Jazz, Brazilian,
Latin and so on, has indeed accomplish himself continues to explore the “rhythms” of
World Music. Bobby’s adaptability and ability of improvisation to any music genres
with the years of experience, exposure and a prominent figure, he has established his
music on platforms with reputable local and international artist from near and far. He
is a session musician, he also specializes in African and Latin American Rhythm. He is
particularly skilled in the art of playing western drums and the cajon (drum box) of
Peruvian Region. The other percussions that he plays are all Indian skin drums, congas,
bongos, timbales, djembe, udu, darabouka, surdo drums, tamborim and timbal. Apart
from being an excellent musician, he’s been appointed to teach music, by the Ministry
of Education and National Arts Council of Singapore.

He has performed for recordings namely, Blair’s Bunch, Asha Bhosle, Art Faizil, Marina
Xavier, Late Amran, Jessica Soo, David Bowie( Let’s Dance remix) Jack Lee And Lewis
Pragasam (Seoul) Othrie Barrett Jr and many others.
Bobby has performed live for an unaccountable list of artist and here are some of the
recent past and popular ones, James Ingram, Asia Beat, Wendy Koh, Mark Chan, Farrid
Ali, Kalyani Anandaji( Bollywood Music Producer) Jeremy Monteiro, Clarrissa
Monteiro, Marina Xavier, AnneVerrapass, Larry Francis, Zubir Abdullah(Music
producer).

He has performed in China, Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Indonesia, Dubai, Brunei,
Seoul, Taiwan, and Europe.It’s almost three decades now (1977-2007), he has performed widely for many big
banner events. 1977, Bobby was seven years old then, he performed closely with the
family Band. His father was his manager and he had a strong influence in Bobby’s
musical career. Bobby was given all the support, encouragement and knowledge that
he required.

Being the youngest coming from a family of musician, his siblings were equally
talented and were always there to guide him. As from 1977 Bobby has performed for the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation and until today it is known as (TCS) Television Corporation of Singapore.
