Zerlene was influenced by her dad's guitar skills and her sister's vocals. While studying a Diploma in Music and Audio Technology in Singapore Polytechnic, she started performing at live entertainment venues. 

She is known for her flexibility in songs of different languages such as Cantonese, Hokkien, Korean, Japanese and Thai!

She has performed for events such as Christmas Carolling, Birthday Parties, Weddings, and Corporate Functions.

In 2017 the multilingual singer was involved in an Original Song Showcase organized by Over the Moon 跨越, showcasing her songs 那么刚好(“Just Nice”) & 巨蟹座B型(“Cancerian Blood B Type”). She has been to 88.3 Jia Fm, Yes 93.3 Fm to be live on air.

She is also one of the finalists in Safra the Ultimate Talent 2017!​
