Hailing from a musical family, Indian style Camatic music has been ingrained into Suma Balakrishna since childhood. 

She has been performing in events all through school and college including talent shows on television and radio. She is a polyglot and can sing in 8 languages.

After training in Hindustani music and Camatic music for 12 years, she has been performing at the Esplanade, Suntec Convention Centre, Vasantham Mediacorp, The Indian Heritage Centre, various Community Clubs, weddings and resto bars in Singapore
